Wish someone else would have assembled mine January 31, 2010 Crumb Bum (Seattle, WA USA) Picked this bike up for about a hundred bucks (cheaper than most) about six months ago, and now it's sitting in my garage until I feel like shelling out a bunch of money. Firstly, I don't know why anyone would pay more than I did for a "mountain" bike with a sticker on it that says "not meant for off road use." Mine was put together by a dept store employee. Had problems basically from the get go, the left crank would loosen up, the brakes are horrible, and just a few weeks ago the freewheel broke. After having a free estimate done at the local bike shop they told me it would be about $150 ($70 for parts) to get it back to par. Though I did not baby this bike, I took fairly good care of it. Other than a couple days on the trails, I would casually ride around town every other day. All in all, I learned a lot of maintenance and lessons for when I buy a true mountain bike.
Dark Bronz..... Two thumbs up!!!!!! July 3, 2009 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros: This bike has really great suspension, quick shifting gears, easy maintenance, nice big fat tires :-) ... great handling on trails and down hill rides. over all, Well worth its price.
Cons: It a bit too heavy going up hill ( about 40-45 pounds), disk breaks are only on the front (since it has one it should be in the back but the other breaks work just as well anyway) my only complaint is the crapy pedals it came with...
I recommend this bike but get your self some good pedals...
Looks good, once you lose the stickers June 9, 2009 Michael J. Adams (Annandale, VA United States) Once you get rid of the 27 "disk brake equipped" stickers, it looks good. I got this from Amazon, and setting it up was tricky. I am familiar with working on bikes, and getting all of the gears and breaks adjusted correctly proved a challenge.
After I finally got it set up, I found the big knobby tires slowed me down a lot on pavement. So I got a set of Forte Greenways ($20/pair) which are lighter and work a lot better on pavement, while retaining decent grip for tougher terrain.
Great Deal "Vanish Mtn Bike" March 16, 2009 B. Daniels I bought this bike last month from meijers and so far I've enjoyed it but I'm looking to change out the tires to something a little more smoother since I ride mainly street/bike trails.
But The best part was Meijers didn't have a price on bike so the employee told me that it looked similiar to another bike and I got it for $150

I bought this bike for 197.00 at a local retailer and the quality is ok and it looks nice...but you cannot expect to get much of a bike for 2-3 hundred dollars. Most durable bikes will cost you 500.00 and up. For the price it is worth it..u can always upgrade some of the components later.
